Meet Firebelly: The Adela Brewster Interview
As Firebelly Marketing continues to grow, from dull embers to a towering inferno, we’re introducing you to the people that spark our ideas.
We are always adding the best and the very brightest, expanding our agency in order to provide unique creative strategies for our clients. Since social media is social in nature, we want to communicate on what exactly makes our people here at Firebelly tick and we’re continuing the series with Adela Brewster!
Meet Adela. Adela is our community manager! She is from Geneva, Indiana, and will be graduating from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in 2025 with a degree in Marketing. She lives out in the middle of nowhere with her family where they have five cats, a dog, a bearded dragon, a turtle, chickens, peacocks, and bees! They have plenty of animals to keep them extremely busy.
How Do You Start Your Day?
I start my day either by checking Instagram or watching an episode of Friends, Big Bang Theory, or Brooklyn 99. I love sitcoms!
What Is Your Daily Media Diet?
I endlessly scroll through Instagram Reels throughout the day, primarily looking at funny cat videos.
How Do You Get Past Creative Blocks?
I take a break by playing with my goofy cat Nigel or taking a long walk outside.
What's The Most Interesting Social Media News Story You’ve Seen Lately?
I haven’t seen anything new, but I think it is interesting to see how people are using Augmented reality on Instagram. It will be fun to see if more businesses use this tool to market themselves.
What Pet Peeves Do You Have?
One of my pet peeves is inconsistent Wifi. By living in the middle of nowhere, our internet seems to cut out at times.
What’s One Piece Of Advice You’d Give To Anyone?
From the wise words of Joey Tribbiani, “If he doesn’t like you, it's moo. It’s like a cow's opinion, it doesn’t matter, it's moo.” Don’t worry about what other people think. Their opinion should not dictate what you wear, how you act, or how you feel. Live the life you want to live without the fear of what other people may think.
What’s The Strangest Talent You have?
I can mimic several popular cartoon characters' voices, or at least try. I used to be able to make the Woody The Woodpecker laugh.
What’s One Thing You Would Change About Social Media?
I would like there to be more authentic interactions. Too often, content can seem too perfect or completely unrealistic. It would be nice to filter all that out and encourage more genuine and relatable content to create connections.
